ORANGEVILLE - Eleanor Bitler, 94, formerly of Bloomsburg Towers, Bloomsburg, passed away on Friday evening, June 5, 2009, at Orangeville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Orangeville,where she has resided for the past 3 years.

She was born Dec. 5, 1914, in Danville RD, a daughter of the late Sylvester and Ada (Remly) Flick.

She was married to Paul H. Welliver who preceded her in death.

Eleanor was employed as a sewing machine operator for 21 years by Milco in Bloomsburg, and was a licensed practical nurse for 18 years doing private home care.

She was a member of the Glad Tidings Assembly of God in Bloomsburg.

Eleanor enjoyed strawberry picking, making quilts and sewing.

Surviving is one son and daughter-in-law, Roger A. and Dorothy Welliver of Danville; one son-in-law, Robert Paisley of Hobbie; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Hurley Flick of Lutz, Fla.; and two sisters, Alice Spickard of Berwick and Mary Mae Mausteller of Buckhorn; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Paisley in August 2008, five brothers and four sisters.
